Mission Statement

 

My personal mission statement is based on the values and beliefs that I have formed, by the events that have occurred to me. I am a product of my environment, my life has been formed by the events that have occurred during my past, making who I am in the present and who I will become in the future. I have concern for the world around me and everyone that is in it with me. I believe that I stand for a part of the population that is here to help others in crisis. 

As a future professional social worker it is my mission to adhere to the NASW Code of Ethics when I am working with clients.  The core values of  service, social justice,dignity and worth of a person, importance of human relationships, integrity, and competence will be used when serving my clients.  I have become more aware of my biases and plan to reevaluate them on a consistent basis to better serve my clients.  I will continually seek feedback from others to improve my skills.

I am dedicated to serving my clients and will advocate on their behalf while making sure to allow them the right to self determination.  I firmly believe in social justice and plan to assist others that are discriminated and oppressed against in our society.
